The Nederlandse Kooikerhondje (pronounced: Nay-der-lan-suh Koi-ker-hont-jah) is a little Dutch dog with a big personality!
They were bred to work alongside their owner luring ducks into traps, killing vermin, and to be loving companions.
They are lively, intelligent, good-natured, and eager to do anything for their owner. At home they have a great off-switch;
calm and vigilant, but playful and full of life when the occasion calls for it. They can do anything and everything!
I like to describe them as having terrier spunk with border collie intelligence in a little spaniel package.

Finding breeders in the U.S. that are up-front and transparent about everything regarding this breed can be tough.

Hopefully the information I've compiled helps you decide if this breed is right for you!
